Baldness is a condition where a hair loss is experienced by an individual. For males, the primordial origin of baldness would be the heavy levels of androgen called Dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It is an androgen that develops the masculine characteristics of the individual such as facial hair, muscle growth, deeper tone and the like. Regrettably, a surplus of DHT, has antagonistic effects on men, one of them is baldness.
Androgenetic Alopecia, a type of baldness, is caused by surplus DHT. This type of baldness is most universal amongst men. The hair line recedes about the temples, and as the hairline recedes, hair on the crown thins. This is the type of baldness that Laser Combs promises to repair.
For quite some time now, there have been a multitude of efforts in battling hair loss or baldness. Researches have shown series of responses such as Anti androgens, Hair Transplants, Hair multiplication and many others. Baldness have been stirring all all round us since man learned to walk up straight and the action versus it has been going on just as long, that is why it is not unexpected if when we listen of unique treatments directed to hair loss.
One specific new treatment that has been getting a lot of hearsay just now is the “Laser Comb”.
Now what strictly speaking is a laser comb and how does it treat baldness? A laser Comb is a contraption that uses low level laser light. By emitting light waves parallel the infrared level, which can permeate deeper into the skin than any other light, energy is injected through the skin and stimulates cells. This role by which photo energy on the scalp and hair follicles is used to energize cells is called photobiostimulation.
Photobiostimulation provides numerous remarkable effects on the individual. The first of which is energizing cells. How does this perfor precisely?
As mentioned in Dr. Kaslow’s review article on Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), light is energy. When unsound cells are irradiated with these low level laser, the cells are re-energized and hence will be rejuvenated. When low level laser penetrates the skin, the cells incorporate the light, and the energy converted from the light restores the cells’ metabolic functions.
The second positive consequence of LLLT is Circulation.LLLT helps helps augment circulation and oxygenation of the scalp and the hair bulb which are necessary in maintaining healthful hair. With the increase in circulation and oxygenation, blockages about the hair bulb are cleared as well as revivification of new cells come forth faster. This would lead to healthier scalp and hair and problems like dandruff and oily scalp will be less likely to exist.
These of course, are just a few of the benefits one could acquire from LLLT. But these are literally the two factors needed by Laser Combs to ease baldness. By re-energizing the cells, one can increase hair again from balding areas of his scalp. and with this technology, one doesn’t just grow hair, one grows healthy hair.
Whilst the product claims that it is competent in treating hair loss, there has been little reviews on the product, and the few are very mixed and hence only their claims and the rumours are the bases for our presumption regarding this matter. But whatever is the reality, such a technology would be beneficial if further developed.
